ZAPP!64, C16 Supplement!
Just what did the C64's little brother have to offer in the eye's of a popular Commodore C64 magazine?
ZZAP! 64, Issue 28, August 1987 rolled out an 8 page extended feature (a one off) which was a
mini-encyclopaedia covering as many C16/Plus4 games they could lay thier hands on.

YAPE 0.29 is out!!
Ati's been back to the world of emulation coding once again and this time has come up with a nice
surprise. Saving to PC directory is now in and tested green! Just now I tested Winter Events
using the WinEMU version and saved my world records!! Did some
memory dumping and basic saving and all is working great. Here's whats new:- emulated disk
SAVE to the file system (D64 save not in yet)
- Save as PRG dialog window is now hexadecimal
-
started adding a monitor/debugger
- save settings on exit
- some minor UI changes
The new save support is great to see and comes one step closer to the real thing :-)

[AMITY] 100% Free Amiga Software!
Have just added a tribute collection of MP3's covering 6 differnt C16 games! Exorcist is one of the
games covered and hearing the real machine playing this tune alone reminds you there still some way to go
before emulation sound this cool ;-) The detuned note being played on the second channel does clash at times
and makes it sound sqeezed, and a cool result. Emulation does a fine job for sure, but it's just not the same ;-)
Head on over now to check out the full story:
c16.de is now the C16 Homepage!
Over the weekend the site got up and running with a whole new look. The site was started again from scratch
and already a good collection of games on offer. Each game also has a score to give you an idea of how good it
is. This was nice to see, but I will argue on the score for Pin Point of 60%. No way no sir!! This game is ROCKS
and gets full marks from me. I'd even go to say it's better than Spin Dizzy on the C64! The scores make some
good reading and I also see they plan to add TAP images some time in the future! So what are you waiting for:

Wow! Ati sent in this neat little
space shooter adding it has one odd loader! The game does have a Turbo Loader, but comes in the form
of the blue screen of death look like all the standard saved stuff (Non-Turbo Loading). Fire up
Yape and check it out now! Cheers Ati.

Artifex v0.24 Preview Images I
was lucky to be sent this working (Beta Testing) version of Artifex from
Zsolt! There is still plenty of
things Zsolt wishes to add before any release can surface. From what I can tell this is going to
be one cool emu. With so many option available you will have almost everthing you ever wished
for and can almost be seen as a TOOL as well for playing games! Here's a list of whats in now:
- PRG and D64 support, (Tap coming soon)
- Quick Registers veiwer
- GDI Screen modes,
320x200, 360x240, 400x300 and 400x312
- Show speed (Emulation speed)
- 2x D64 drives supported
(with drive lights)
- Machine Types (C16, 232, Plus4 and C16 with 64k RAM
- Debugger options
(Mirco-Code Debugger, Memory Dump, CPU Registers, CPU Stack, TED Rgesters and Break Points)
At anytime you can see just what the emulation is upto (The heart of the machine) and tamper with the
code, jump to memory locations and get a better understanding of whats going on. I even got the Plus4
emulation to crash and tell me what CPU error had happend, and this providing info for reporting those
bugs. For now there's still some way to go, but already alot of things are working very well.

24 New Tap Images For Use With Yape!
Only a month ago I managed to get hold of an original copy of Tomcat and was upset to find it did'nt
load at all. It was like the tape does not have the C16 version on it! For some odd reason there's
more tape on the cassette than there should be ???
Anyway I poped into London a couple weeks back and a shop called
Computer Exchange only had a copy
for sell :-) So you can guess I've now made a Tap image of Tomcat and at the same time I
managed to make a working image of Ace 64k (Fastload) at last! Also a big thanks to
Ati for sending in some of his
Commodore classics. Find out whats on offer below.
