Once again a very big thanks to James Crook for taking the time to make a full listing of the
D64 images uploaded last week. Big Respects!
The funky Blue BG is back :-)
I'm lost without it so it's back for good. I dono yet but I might axe the name C16/Plus4 ClassiX
and call everything Commodore Plus/4 World. I was thinking about bringing all the ClassiX stuff back
to the index page as some new comers are baffled in the mess of link apon link. Ok's, loads of links
cant be helped, but lets make it a little easyer.

C16 Homepage Updated!!
The Team have been working on a new design for their GAMES sections and things are looking very smart indeed!
They have also added a TAP image of ACE2, Thorsten told me they had trouble making a tap image of this game
and now it's here they are most happy :-) As with Ace 1 both are 1/2 wav Tap images. Cascade's Turbo Loader had
to be the worst turbo ever made. I suspect copy protection was the order of the day. How many hours did we waste
trying to get the original tapes to load in? I for one ended up loading side B (1/2 hour loading time) of Ace
so I could play it.
One neat project the team were working on was the PC joystick adapter to plug in your C16/C64 style joysticks. I
did find this very hard to follow because of the German text, but I read on Thorsten's email the Joystick adaptors
are now ready for sale!! They plan to send me picture so I can make a page in english and we can all see this cool
project :-) Great stuff guys!! Head on over to the homepage now...

Tom Thumb, The best C16 game of all time hits PC!!!
Ok's.... before we all start jumping up and down with excitement (well you can if you want because I have been all day)
this project is in need of your talent! Currently working on the Tom Thumb remake is the dude
Stuart Wilson. So far Stuart has programmed a neat game engine which is a replica working
environment of Udo's on the C16! At this very early stage and already visible the game feels very close to the original.
As Stuart has said "You wont be disapointed". One of the last games you'd ever hope to see grace a remake would be Tom
Thumb. The game it's self is a challenge let along making it from scratch. Wow, this really is a dream coming
true not only for me, but for all you Tom fans out there. Lets hope we get the Thumb's up from Sturat for an entirely
new level to be added on top. Yes, the cigar box is open!!!! Anyways it's request time.....
Stuart is looking for anyone that can help with the graphics. The real priorty at the moment is for actual game characters
to be designed (Including Tom himself). If anyone is willing to help please could you draw each individual frame of
movement for each character and save them as BMP files so that all the frames are shown (no animated gifs) and email them
to Stuart Wilson. He will guarantee that any help (no matter how big or small) will result in there
names being added to the credits. Yes, you will go down as one of the kings that brought the magic of Udo Gertz to life on PC!
Eventually Stuart will get a webpage up and running for the game, but for now this is on hold as he is head deep
working on this very game! A demo will shorty be available hopefully in the next few weeks which will be awesome to see. I
think we owe big respects not only to Stuart but to all that can help before the game even gets released!!! In the mean time
lets all get GFX busy and start hummimg the music :-) Please contact Stuart for any questions related to the GFX work
you may have. Cheers!

New mtap V0.33 released!
Minstrel's mtap is the MS-DOS tool for recording real C64, VIC-20 and C16 tapes onto PC. If you want to make
C16/Plus4 tapes images then this tool is the best option available out there! Here's what Markus had to say
about his new release:
"The new release fixes a pretty bad bug in the calculation of 'long pulses', which lead to pauses being only
half as long as they should of been. It also fixes a bug which prevented the -v option from working (record
Version 0 TAPs).
It also introduces halfwave recording, which currently only works with datasette adaptor (either C64S interface
or X1531 interface as specified on my pages). Halfwave recording is still pretty experimantal, and only makes
sence for C16 tapes, so don't use it on C64 tapes!
Please give me some feedback, especially about the X/XE1541 recording with Tapserv."
