The Llama Coat on Tour at Back In Time!!
BACK IN TIME (London) was the place to be last
Friday night and as ever we all had a great time once again with fellow C64 fans ravin on to masses of SID re-mixes
and beer all night.... This time around it was hard work because I stayed up from Friday 07:00 - Sunday 00:30-ish. I never
planed to kip anywerzzz and ended up watching the sunrise at 4am over London. I did'nt even get lost because only the day
before I was playing MSR on my Dreamcast, as you can guess I've driven around London many a time ;-)
I
hit London late afternoon along with Navvie, Chris from Keep it Retro
and Mort from Def Guide to Zzap64
and ended up at CEX just off Oxford Street looking at their mass
retro basement. Our eyes where poping out with the amount of gamage stuff on show. Still had a couple of C16 games up for
grabs of which you may remember I took Tomcat away last time I poped in. Anyways Mort came out with a fully working cream
1541 for 15 bucks and what can only be called as bargin of the year! Lucky sod ;-)
Just after and only a 2mins walk away we hit Gossips Night Club. Yep I had Jeff's Llama Coat on which I was proud to wear.
Funny thing was all night I was being called "The lucky Bah-stard" :-)
Before long I heared this voice going "Thats my Coat". Hehehe Jeff Minter the great YAK him self had just arrived and wearing
another Llama Coat! Wow 2 in da house, but NO there was 3 Llama coat owning dudes in the house!! A nice chap from
Guildhall Leisure who was creating some new versions of
Jeff Minters classics using Blitz Basic also had his very
own Llama coat on :-) His Boss George Bray was also a keen Llama fan and told me all about Blitz Basic and how much of a
cool programming tool it is for making re-makes of all your fav games!! The guys want to bring the magic of cheap quality
games back to life for the PC, just like the good old days. Yeah, 100% all game play. They said an all new re-make of Void Runner
was on the cards and it's gona be hot! Anyways this sounds exciting and cant wait to see their work. If I cant get hold of
any news I'll let you know.
Back to C16/Plus4 land at the big C64 night out it was time to give Jeff a copy of GWNN that I'd put aside. Seeing as Patrick
Strassen was a big fan of Jeff's works and how he told us the awesome story about the original name of GWNN Jeff was gona
get the upper hand for the use of his font :-) The copy of GWNN I gave Jeff has a miss printed name on the cassette of
"GWYNN". Now Patrick (If your reading) can you explain this one? ;-)
Well C16/Plus4 fans I got my own copy of Matrix and Laserzone signed by the original brain child which you can check out
by clicking on the cover on your left in the menu bar or the easy route by hitting the link below:
All in all it was an awesome night out being a big c64, Speccy and Atari 800xl thang. As ever big respects to Chris Abbott and
the team for making it all happen! You can check out the lastest gossip reports, news, reviews and much more over at the
official Back In Time (London) homepage.

The Biggest Plus/4 D64 Archive Just Got Bigger!!
This time around you get 211 D64 images. The disk numbering ranges from 101-200, all zipped and
comes in at a stonking 20meg in total. Yet again jam packed with the sceners work containing Games, Demos,
Utilities, Tools, Disk Mags, Music, Pictures, and much more.....
The D64 archive is in need of a listing for all Content!!
Have you or can some one please make a TXT file that contains all the Disk Names and File Names covering
all the D64 images held on the D64 Recall page? This would be much appreciated by all and a great help
for hunting down a certain file/s. Maybe you would know how to make a search engine database tool for the
typing of a word eg.(Demo 123) which would tell you which disk the file/s are on? Well just an idea, but
anything you could do would be most helpfull. Many thanks to anyone who can help. Cheers.
At the end of the day there is so much stuff on these disks that picking at them a couple of files at a time
would take for ever, stuff would never get uploaded or seen. I thought it best to upload them as they come so
you could dig in an maybe find something of intrest. So some one please help with some sort of listing ;-)

Minus4w v2.1 is out !!!!
Mike's announcement of the new Minus4w v2.1 over at
Plus4.org says he's been tweaking his neat emu for some while
and at last sorted out a couple of things for us to see. New features and fixes are as follows:
- Fixed keyboard, should now be 100% (Explosive Net now gets past intro - Thanks Zsolt)
-
Hardware Curser now emulated correctly
- Colour registers now return top bit as set (Rockman -
Thanks ATI)
- New Icon added - based on my mini plus/4 GFX
- Added option to associate .PRG
and .D64 files with Minus/4 for auto-running (in prefs)
- ALT-ENTER now kicks in and out
fullscreen mode (320x240)
The new .PRG and .D64 auto-running is a neat feature which is making me feel real lazy, man we've never had
it so easy for loading files ;-) Cheers Mike!!

Tom Thumb Cheat!!
Guy's I can not believe that 15 years on Tom Thumb has a cheat! To be honest I would of never, ever
of found it because of the way I play it. A big thanks must go to Alex Weber for sending me the
cheat!
"When Tom has run out of lives and the scrolling text is going across the screen pull
DOWN on the joystick and you will continue the game from the last Door, Treasure or Key you
have picked up." If like me you play the game with the SHIFT LOCK pressed down to make Tom always
run then make sure it's not pressed down at the time you try to activate the cheat because this will send
you back to the start of the pyramid.
Wow! This game never fails to impress me and only wished Udo
had made Tom Thumb 2 ;-) Thanks once again Alex for the cheat.
C16 Homepage Updated!
The Team have now uploaded some german education software. The names of these speical tapes are MATHEMATIK TEIL1 +
TEIL2 and DEUTSCH TEIL1. These tapes you can find in the C16-inside/Lernprogramme sections. Thanks to Hoppy for the
