This site was put together with my Amiga. In truth I
use my Amiga more than any other of my machines and is the main tool for most of
my computer stuff. It's a great machine and needing little effort to do anything
with the power of OPUS MAGELLAN 2 running the show. Its nice to have a machine
thats boots in less than 20sec and still have total control of some great
applications that PC's enjoy today. Yeah! Amiga has'nt got the power behind it to
play Quake3 and you dont need a PIII500Mhz+ to make a web page, but both
can emulate a Plus4 which is great because I can see the best of all the
Plus4 emulators.
My PC
is used to check out my HTML is working fine with IE and NS. The PC is my mother of a
games machine. C&C Tiberian Sun is the best fun you could have over the net. I
always play GDI and my rank was going well till they rest the lot :-( Unreal
Tournament is the 3D game thats rocking me now. And I'm left wondering "Why
is Quake3 so sad". As you do, I have loads of emulators from speccy to Arcade
Machines running.
WHY? Lando
is my net name in most things. When I joined up I wanted a StarWars name and
had to think quick and one that no one else had used. When I first got on the
net I never saw any Plus4 stuff at all and I gave up looking...............
Last summer I found an AMIGA C16 emulator on the net by Frank Paries. I
had this running in 2colour mode with full sound and playing Monty on the Run. I
was Amazed!! and asked Frank to finish C16 off. He said "Developement has
nearly stoped" and I should look at CP4. I was in the Plus4 world again and
had a good look around the net for some more sites and found not many at that :-(
So Lando's Plus4 ClassiX was made. I wanted to give the Plus4 a better front
end on the net "Still not knowing Mike Dailly had a mainpage until later
;-)" with games and screen shots to bring back the memorys of the good old
8bit days we all had. I took a week off work and sat there none stop making
graphics and htm files which by the end of I was nackered and could of done with
another week of work ;-)
Best thing
about my site is being part of a team. This team being the Plus4 Web sites on
the net. There support keeps the machine alive how ever small. And I THANKYOU all
for your support !!
